Wednesday

Wednesday is trash day here at our house. I guess I will throw some your way. We spent a few days in Atlanta with our Children and Grand Children. They are always fun to be with. Karen our oldest is married to Scott. They have the kids-Lily 5 next month and Morgan -2. Lily was a polka dotted tap dancer on Saturday. The class performed Good Ship Lollipop and did very well! The rest of the recital was not so great! I am a firm believer in recitals for the little kids only. But that is just me being selfish with my time.
The summer heat started early. I hope that my August wedding is not going to be so HOT and HUMID! That really is asking too much. Hey, we live at the beach! We are doing a beach wedding weather permitting. E & E are planning to do a sand ceremony. For those of you who are not familiar with this, colored sand is poured together by the bride and groom to signify unity. Most people use a unity candle service for this, however, the beach makes this very hard to achieve. E & E are using black and pink sand. They purchased an arch to marry under. I will wrap it with a garland made of lemon leaves and baby pink silk.
We are decorating a deli and bar for the reception. THAT is always a challenge.
My November wedding is going to be done in a Hotel California meets Shakespeare theme. Very rustic using moss, branches, deep red roses and other flowers and Tiffany Blue gift boxes. My nieces friend stated that this bride is very brave!
If anyone cares at all to keep up with me and my weddings, We are going to have our September 07 wedding featured in Carolina Bride magazine in June. I have been in local publications before, but I am very excited about this one. My good friend Lynn Cole of Lynn Cole Photography took the photos and her work is so beautiful! I think we make a good team!
I hope to be better at this blogging thing.

I'm Bad!

Well, it is now May the 10Th and I have not had anything to say. I guess I can share one of the weddings I am doing. E & E are a really cute couple and I am enjoying getting to know them.
Last night as I was stuffing and stamping the invitations for their August wedding, it hit me how important my job is. These people trust me completely with their most important day! I was worried about each postage stamp being on straight and every address being correct.
We have to mail the invitations earlier than usual because the Fam is from up north and have to make expensive travel plans.
Tonight I get to stay at our riverhouse in Pawleys Island. That means my marshlight sunset! My husband is hoping for a dead low tide so he can kayak for golf balls. My sister Jane and family are down for the week end and I can't wait to see them. Gotta eat! later.....
